Brief Description: We are seeking a part-time Adult Basic Education Instructor for our Pre-GED class, serving students between a 4-7 GLE. The instructor should have direct or transferable experience in adult education and work with diverse adult populations. Instruction hours are 9:00a–1:00p, Mondays through Thursdays. Additional weekly hours are included for preparation time, professional development, and staff meetings. The instructor should be prepared to teach in person, remotely, or in a remote/in-person hybrid class. We require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for staff and for participants utilizing in-person services.
Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required. MA TESOL/Applied Linguistics, ICCB ESL Standards Proficient Instructor or higher tier, and 2+ years of experience working with beginning adult English Language learners are preferred.
